Knitting Machines are used for a wide range of tasks, from the most mundane to the most critical of communications, from mittens to military operations. As the use of wireless technology proliferates, craft technologies and communication devices often compete with, interfere with, and disrupt the operations of other devices, putting art and personnel at risk. CARPA seeks innovative approaches that ensure robust craft communications in such congested and contested environments such as hack-labs and nursing homes. The report is currently under review at the Department of Defense (DoD).
